Bridal Show (Part Three)

While getting ready for the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show a few weeks ago, I never imagined my review would turn into a three-part series. It has been an exciting three weeks for me, recalling all the super talented vendors and the pure inspiring conversations with so many designers.

One of the most delightful conversations I had was with Jack from Special Day Limos. Jack and his wife are the owners of Special Day Limos, the premier wedding transportation company in Metro Atlanta with a fleet of vintage and modern vehicles.  So far this year the company has serviced a whopping 460 weddings, which doesn't include October, one of their busiest months of the year. So if you're leaning towards a vintage look to arrive in on your special day, be sure to call in advance because their calendar fills up quick!

Located right next to Jack was Jessica of Jessica Renwick Photography. Jessica's calm and unassuming nature translates through her work. Her ability to capture the natural beauty of her clients is spell-bounding. Her love of photography, which started during her teen years had propelled her forward into a very successful, sought after photographer in Atlanta.

My last stop brought me to the world of Tuxes at Savvi Formalwear. Now, I don't usually get excited about menswear, but after taking a look around, I was sold! Their selection of tuxes equaled modern, tailored, and smooth sophistication. They have over 400 colors to choose from in ties and other accessories, not to mention the most handsome models I had the pleasure of meeting.

Metro Atlanta has become the mega center for the South's most creative designers and world class photographers and caterers. Atlanta also offers a vast array of wedding venues that gives brides across the metro area numerous options that will fit the smallest to the most lavish budgets. One of the smartest ways to get a sneak peek at all that Atlanta has to offer is to attend a Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show. Visit their website to find out more information and the next show date.

 Until next time...

PERFECTLY POSH IN PEACOCK

Peacocks are considered extravagant and colorful, and their feathers are often used by brides whose personalities match the bird's natural adornment. As a peacock lover myself, I have often wondered how one can tastefully create a peacock themed wedding without being too over-the top or labeled gaudy.

When KAJ (one of my favorite Atlanta designers) told me they were planning a peacock themed wedding, my eyes lit up! And when Keisha (The K in KAJ) invited me to take a sneak peek at the design before the wedding...well, it was if I had died and gone to heaven!

This Perfectly Posh Peacock theme is beautifully executed with  rich turquoise and purple fabrics as the foundation and splashes of bling to give it some sparkle...

Most of the decorations were handmade my the KAJ design team...AMAZING! If you have a vision for your special day, so doubt Stylish Moments By KAJ can execute it with precision and attention to the smallest details.

Until next time, remember to look for beauty and inspiration as you go through your day and live an amazing life!

With Love,

Samala

Bridal Show (Part Two)

Somewhere in the world today a man will ask a woman to marry him. Its not big news, just a statement of fact. We caught up with two women in attendance at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show who were proposed to within the last twelve months to get their perspective on the event.

Our first bride is originally from New York, but now considers herself a sweet Georgia Peach. This was her first bridal event and she and her attendants (all wearing matching red t-shirts) decided to make it into a Girls Day Out. She and her beau have opted for a destination wedding to the
Bride in Middle

Bahamas in June 2014. Their wedding will be an intimate occasion with only 50 family and friends. What a wonderful way to celebrate the upcoming nuptials with a day out with your closest friends!

Our second bride is a native of South Carolina who is planning a March 2014 wedding. This was her fourth bridal event, and she and her friend were in search of ideas and inspiration. I asked this beautiful bride what has been her biggest challenges in planning her wedding. She answered, "finding everything I need in one place." Her process has been exciting but frustrating because she has done a lot of online shopping, but many sites are vague and response times are slow after she has made an inquiry. Despite the minor setbacks, this bride is still moving forward with creative determination and a vision to make her wedding day a dream come true.

A current trend among wedding vendors is collaboration/partnerships with other vendors. Our bride remarked earlier of finding a "One Stop Shop" for all her bridal needs: Catering, Décor, Invitation, Linens & Rentals, Planning. I got an opportunity to speak with a few of the vendors at the event who have caught on to this trend...

Bridget Baker of An Elegant Occasion partnered with five other vendors to create this lovely table setting, and gave brides an opportunity to taste a scrumptious sampling of popular menu items they offer.

Kathy Grate of Divine Occasions is a Event Planner/Coordinator extraordinaire! Kathy believes in quality vs quantity, booking only one wedding per weekend to ensure brides receive her undivided attention. Her expertise and eye for details along with her network of Photographers, Designers, DJ's, and Florists will guarantee your event will be everything you dreamed for, wished, or imagined.

In addition to finding ideas and inspiration for their wedding day, brides were given an opportunity to sign-up for another event supporting Breast Cancer. Rachel Cooper, a volunteer from Brides Against Breast Cancer  was there to give more information on the Charity Wedding Gown Sale, which allows brides to view and purchase new and gently worn designer and couture gowns at an affordable price. This two day event to be held October 12-13, 2013, will not only help brides find beautiful gowns, but advance the work of Brides Against Breast Cancer.

Join me next week for Part Three of our last and final look into the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show. If you would like to sign-up for the next bridal show or find out more information on the vendors in today's blog, simply click on the company name to go to their website.
